The first annual conference of the International Union for Difficult-to-treat-Diseases was held at the University of Macau (UM). More than 40 world-renowned experts, scholars, and medical professionals from around the world, including the United States, Russia, Taiwan, mainland China, and Macao, attended the conference to discuss new approaches to fighting chronic diseases.

James L. Mulshine

Dr James L Mulshine, associate provost for research and vice president of Rush University, Chicago, who is an internationally recognised expert on lung cancer, attended and spoke at the conference.

The event was co-organised by UM’s Faculty of Health Sciences, the New Fortune (Macau) Forum Organisation, the National Cancer Institute in the US, the International Union of Difficult-to-treat Diseases, and several other international organisations.
