The University of Macau (UM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) on the establishment of a key laboratory on health awareness and medical immunology on 1 April. The MOU aims to promote research collaboration between UM’s Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) and the CAS Key Laboratory of Pathogenic Microbiology and Immunology, in the prevention and control of infectious diseases and the development of precision medicine for cancer. The signing ceremony was witnessed by CAS President Prof Bai Chunli and UM Rector Wei Zhao. After the signing ceremony was over, members of the delegation visited the FHS and the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine.
