Biography | Prof. Li obtained his B.Sc. at Beijing Normal University in 1988, and M.Sc. and Ph.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1994 and 1997 respectively. He then received post-doctoral training at Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Columbia University in USA.
In 2009, he joined the Bio-X Institutes at Shanghai Jiao Tong University as a Changjiang Scholar after working at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Singapore as an assistant professor and associate professor from 2001 to 2009. He is now a Changjiang Scholar Program professor and associate director of Bio-X Institutes. He has authored 50 papers including Nature Genetics, Nature Communications, Genes and Development, EMBO J, J. Cell Biology, PNAS, and Nature Cell Biology as the corresponding or the first author. He has received the Career Enhancement Award of ASBMR and now serves as an associate editor of BMC Developmental Biology as well as editorial board members for several other journals. |
