The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) held its first open day on 11 December 2014, in an attempt to increase public understanding of the FHS and draw public attention to the development of biomedical sciences in Macao.
The open house kicked off with an opening speech by Dr. Wei Zhao, Rector of UM, followed by a welcoming speech by Prof. Chuxia Deng, Dean of FHS. On the open day, FHS showcased its academic and research achievements and provided guided tours of some of its laboratories for visitors. Three distinguished scientists were invited to the open day to speak on related topics. The open day attracted heads from numerous local universities and secondary schools.
