Abstract Transcriptome refers to “the sum total of all the messenger RNA molecules expressed from the genes of an organism”. Understanding transcriptome is essential to study biology and medicine. I will address multiple features of transcriptome derived from my studies, covering composition and abundance, polyA or non-polyA, antisense, transcriptome in human Hela cells, CD34+ hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells, transcriptome during Drosophila and human hematopoiesis, miRNA evolution in Drosophila, fusion transcription in leukemia, population promoter variation, and evaluation of current single cell transcriptome, etc.
