The aim of 2025 FHS Student Association (FHSSA), ‘Zhi Zhao Pavilion,’ is to enhance communications and connections between FHS and its students through various activities, promote interaction among classmates, create a better learning environment, and help students find their aspirations. The cabinet consists of 36 members, including the President, Vice Presidents, Advisors, and the Heads, Deputy Heads, and members of the Event Planning Department, Marketing Department, Finance Department, and General Administration Department.

President – Rona, Songhan YANG

Rona is a second-year student in the Department of Biomedical Sciences. She expresses her commitment to strengthening the connection between students and teachers. She acknowledges that serving in the student association is a challenging task, but she believes that everyone in the cabinet is prepared to foster a united student association towards a common goal.

Vice President – Lettey, Haoran WANG

Lettey is a second-year student majoring in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology. She joined the student association in her first year, working in the Publicity Department. She enjoyed working for FHSSA, and gained valuable experience and friendships from it. She believes that FHSSA is a bridge connecting students with the Faculty and among students themselves, and she feels proud to continue being part of this bridge this year. As Vice President, she encourages classmates to share their ideas and suggestions, aiming to create a more vibrant university life through joint efforts.

Vice President – Heitong CHOI

Heitong is a second-year student majoring in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology, serving as Vice President of FHSSA this year. She hopes to utilise her past experiences as a freshman to provide more diverse communication opportunities and information channels for her classmates, and she is committed to collecting everyone’s opinions and needs to collaboratively build an ideal learning and activity environment.

Advisor – Oscar, Chi Hou SUN

Oscar is a fourth-year student majoring in Biomedical Sciences. He has been involved in FHSSA since his first year. This year, he joins FHSSA in the role of advisor, primarily providing contrasting perspectives. He hopes to leverage his experience to help the current cabinet navigate the various tasks in the future and offer suggestions and solutions to problems.

Head of Event Planning Department – Kai Son LEONG

Kai Son is a third-year student majoring in Biomedical Sciences. This year, he serves as the Head of the Event Planning Department. In addition to upholding the spirit of past FHSSA activities, he hopes to plan various interesting events that allow everyone to enjoy university life alongside their studies.

Deputy Head of Event Planning Department – Jason CHEONG

Jason is a third-year student majoring in Biomedical Sciences, and this is his second year in the Event Planning Department. Over the past year, he participated in organising orientation camps, health knowledge quiz competition, first aid workshops, and talent show, taking on both hands-on and planning roles. These experiences have given him insights into the various aspects of event planning, such as time management, resource allocation, and teamwork. He enjoys communicating with others and excels at creating enjoyable and meaningful activities that leave participants with wonderful memories. He stated, ‘I hope to utilise my creativity and organisational skills in the Event Planning Department to plan more exciting events that foster interaction among classmates. I am looking forward to working with everyone to ensure each event is a success.’

Head of Marketing Department – Winnie, Huini ZHANG

Winnie is a second-year student majoring in Biomedical Sciences. She was also a member of the Marketing Department last year, assisting with the promotion of various student association activities, including designing posters, writing promotional materials, and press releases. As the Head of the Marketing Department, she believes that, in addition to the fundamental tasks of promoting and summarising activities, the department can strengthen its efforts in other areas, such as social media management, innovative activity promotion, internal communication, and resource integration. She hopes that in the coming year, every cabinet member can leverage their strengths to advance the department’s future development.

Head of Finance Department – Songkai MIAO

Songkai is responsible for reviewing budget applications for each activity and ensuring the reasonable use of funds. He is a second-year student majoring in Bioinformatics. He stated, ‘Participating in the Finance Department has allowed me to master many practical financial skills, such as budget analysis and cost control. This has not only enhanced my practical abilities but also provided me with valuable experiences outside the classroom, contributing to my overall development.’

Head of Administration Department – Aubry, Tongxin XIAO

Aubry is a second-year student majoring in Biomedical Sciences. She points out that the Administration Department has undergone significant changes this year, merging the Public Relations and Secretariat Departments. Prior to the merger, Aubry was an active member of the Public Relations Department and gained rich experience in teamwork and external communication. She plans to apply her experiences to her new role, integrating the strengths of both departments to enhance collaborative efficiency and strengthen cooperation with other departments, thus promoting the development of FHSSA.

Deputy Head of Administration Department – Muyang JING

Muyang is a second-year student majoring in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology. In her first year, she was a member of the Secretariat Department, and now she has joined the Administration Department. She believes that the work in the Secretariat Department involves a great deal of document management and meeting arrangements, and this experience will help her organise and manage various affairs in the Administration Department more effectively. She hopes to strengthen communications among departments to spark new ideas and creativity, establish trust and a spirit of cooperation, enhance team cohesion, and improve the efficiency of the student union’s work, providing students with a more vibrant campus life.

The 2025 FHSSA, taking inspiration from its Chinese name ‘Zhi Zhao Pavilion 霽昭閣,’ strives to move forward towards the light together. The cabinet looks forward to the new student association continuing to play its bridging role, connecting communications and cooperations between students and the Faculty, as well as among students themselves. We anticipate that they will create more diverse opportunities for interactions in the coming academic year, enhancing the quality of students’ learning and living, and becoming a solid support for every student.
