Pharmaceutical science is an interdisciplinary field that integrates fundamental principles of chemistry, biochemistry, biology, pharmacology, drug delivery, pharmacokinetics, manufacture and regulatory affairs to understand all aspects of therapeutic drugs, and translates this knowledge to develop new and improved therapies against human diseases. Graduates are well equipped with the generic, subject-specific and transferable knowledge and experimental skills suited to multiple career options including a career in pharmaceutical industry, laboratory-based scientific research, quality control and manufacturing, marketing, legal, regulatory and drug information.
