The event was conducted in a warm and joyful atmosphere.

At the start of the event, FHS Dean Chuxia DENG delivered opening remarks. He congratulated the graduates on the successful completion of their studies and encouraged them to embrace future challenges with confidence. He also noted that approximately 60 students are graduating this year from the Bachelor of Science programmes in Bioinformatics, Biomedical Sciences, and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology, and notably, this marks the first graduating cohort of the Pharmaceutical Science and Technology programme, representing an important milestone in the faculty’s development of its biomedical education system and talent cultivation.

Ying ZHENG, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, also delivered a speech, encouraging graduates to uphold a rigorous scientific mindset and continue to grow along their respective career paths. Hong U FONG, an outstanding graduate of the Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology programme shared his learning experiences and personal growth at UM. He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to faculty members, in particular his supervisor, Professor Ruibing WANG from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, for their continuous support and guidance.

The celebration featured a graduation photo-taking session with professional photography and instant photo printing services, along with a dedicated photo area with themed props, allowing graduates to capture memorable moments with faculty members and peers. This was followed by a networking session that facilitated interaction among faculty and students, providing an opportunity to reflect on their academic journeys and share future aspirations. The FHS Student Association also set up a booth to create personalised souvenirs for graduates, while the faculty presented commemorative gifts to the graduates as a token of congratulations.
