The 6th “Health, I Care!” Quiz Competition, organized by the Student Association of Faculty of Health Sciences (FHSSA), was held recently in a great success with nearly one hundred students of various faculties taking part.

Twelve teams gave their best effort to compete for the championship. After four preliminary rounds, four teams were selected for the final. The champion was bagged by the team of students from Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH) and Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) whereas the 2nd runner-up was won by the team of FHS students, and the 3rd position was clinched by the team of students from FAH, FSS and Faculty of Science and Technology (FST). The students showcased their brilliance by rapidly answering the questions related to health knowledge, food, medicine and safety, healthy environment, disease, epidemic and prevention, world and Macao health organizations or departments, and the newly added topic—COVID-19.

The quiz competition aims to arouse the health awareness of UM students and sensitize them about disease prevention measures, medication safety and healthy habits, etc. The questions that put forth to the teams were intriguing and excited the audience. Prof. Guokai CHEN, Associate Dean (Teaching) of FHS. Prof. Xuanjun ZHANG, Assistant Dean (Student Affairs) of FHS and Chair Professor Hanming SHEN gave away the prizes. Prof. Xuanjun ZHANG evaluated the event as a very informative and knowledge enriching competition. Miss Aggie Yuzhao FENG, President of FHSSA, was glad to have this delightful competition held successfully, which served as an open platform for students to explore health knowledge. The competition was closed in joy with the participants and the guests taking group photos together at the end.
