In a bid to foster better communication and camaraderie between professors and postgraduate students, FHS, in collaboration with the FHS Postgraduate Society, organized an outdoor BBQ gathering at Macau Urban Farm in Coloane on 30 November. The event attracted an impressive turnout of around 200 academics and postgraduate students.
This gathering provided a much-needed opportunity for academics and postgraduate students to put aside their hectic schedules and leave the laboratories behind, stepping into the countryside to enjoy the beauty of nature. The BBQ gathering featured a variety of delicious food, fun activities, and opportunities for attendees to network, relax and recharge in a serene environment.
Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their appreciation for the chance to engage with their peers and professors in a more casual setting. “We believe that events like these are crucial for building a supportive and collaborative academic community,” Prof Xuanjun ZHANG, the coordinator of the event. “It was wonderful to see so many of our faculty and students come together and connect.”
