FHS hosted a vibrant and heartfelt Graduation Party on 24 May to celebrate the achievements of the undergraduate Class of 2025. The event followed the university’s Congregation Ceremony and brought together graduates, their families, and faculty members for an evening of celebration, reflection and community spirit.
The event featured a festive atmosphere with a professional photographer, themed photo booths, and a curated selection of food and refreshments. But beyond the joyful setting, the evening was marked by genuine and meaningful exchanges between academic staff and graduates, highlighting the deep bonds formed over years of mentorship and shared academic pursuit.
A highlight of the evening was a speech delivered by Dean Chuxia DENG, who addressed the graduates with warmth and pride. ‘Today, we celebrate not just your academic achievements, but the resilience and unwavering diligence you’ve demonstrated throughout your journey,’ he said. ‘You are stepping into a world that needs your diligence even more than it has been during your undergraduate studies. Your ability to stay committed, focused, and adaptable will be key to navigating the complexities ahead. Wherever life takes you next, always remember that you will have a home here at FHS.’ He also encouraged graduates to build and maintain a healthy social network, emphasising that strong supportive relationships are essential not only for personal well-being but also for professional growth and lifelong learning.
Throughout the evening, faculty members engaged in heartfelt conversations with students, reminiscing about classroom moments, research collaborations, and personal growth. Many graduates took the opportunity to express their gratitude to professors who had guided and inspired them, while academics shared words of encouragement and pride in their students’ accomplishments.
Adding to the emotional resonance of the evening was a surprise workshop presented by junior undergraduates, who organised a creative and interactive session to express their admiration and gratitude to the graduating class.
