FHS recently organised two sessions of the Global Study Consultation. This event was designed to provide Year 2 to 4 students with valuable insights and guidance on pursuing academic and professional opportunities worldwide.
The consultation featured a diverse panel of professors and researchers, offering expertise on studying and working in regions such as Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, and Europe. Students had the opportunity to engage in one-on-one discussions with faculty members, who shared their experiences and provided tailored advice on navigating international academic landscapes.
The first session focused on opportunities in Hong Kong, the UK, North America and Australia. The second session explored pathways in Germany, Switzerland, France, the USA, and Australia. These sessions were supported by FHS Assistant Dean Xuanjun ZHANG; Henry Hang Fai KWOK, Head of Department of Biomedical Sciences; Ruiyu XIE, Associate Head of Department of Biomedical Sciences; Associate Professors Leo Tsz On LEE, Vivien Yafan WANG, Chris Koon Ho WONG and Hongjie ZHANG; Assistant Professors Aifang CHENG, Edwin Ka Yiu KONG, Jack Chon Lok LEI, Bei LI and Zhenghai TANG, who offered practical advice on application strategies, programme selection, and adapting to different academic environments based on their international experience.
The FHS Global Study Consultation serves as a vital platform for fostering global perspectives and preparing students for future success in international environments.
