‘International Volunteer Day 2025: Outstanding Volunteer Election’ Awards Ceremony was recently held at the Bodhi Social Service Building. The event was organized by the Association of Volunteers Social Service Macao and sponsored by Macao Foundation, aiming to recognise outstanding volunteers from all sectors of society. Amongst several UM students, DaleSun LI, a second-year student from FHS and member of Cheng Yu Tung College, received the Star Volunteer Silver Award.
During the ceremony, Ms Yuky LIAO, President of the Association of Volunteers Social Service Macao, expressed her hope that this event would raise public awareness of volunteer services and encourage volunteers to embody the spirit of helping others, thereby appreciating the meaning and core values of volunteerism. She was deeply moved by volunteers stepping out of their comfort zones to serve others and extended her gratitude, urging volunteers and guests to continue spreading the spirit of love.
DaleSun said he was honoured to receive this recognition and sincerely thanked UM and his college for their support and for providing opportunities to participate in volunteer services. He also expressed gratitude to the organisers and judging panel for their acknowledgment. He pledged to continue actively engaging in various volunteer activities, learning and growing through service, and looks forward to collaborating with other volunteers in the future.
