Programme Aims:  The programme aims at providing students with knowledge and hands-on experience in pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences. Through the specially designed teaching activities, students also become competent in various soft skills, including problem-solving, logical and critical thinking as well as writing and presentation skills. These trainings prepare students for further studies and careers in and beyond the areas of pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences.

Programme Normal Duration: 4 years

Medium of Instruction: English

Application Requirements:  University general application requirements; and, Candidates with Chemistry and/or Biology in senior secondary study.

Graduation Requirements:  (1) Have completed at least 134 credit units in total; (2) Have passed all required courses; (3) Have achieved a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 or above.

Graduate Prospect:

  • Pursue further study, e.g. postgraduate study or other professional study
  • Engage in research and development in areas related to basic life science and biomedical sciences;
  • Pursue clinical service personnel in hospitals and other medical laboratories;
  • Work in agricultural, food testing and forensic industries;
  • Engage in teaching in tertiary and secondary schools.
