A delegation led by Mr. Yuk Lum CHUI, the President of Industrial Association of Macau (AIM), visited FHS on 21 Sep. They were warmly received by Prof. Renhe XU, FHS Associate Dean (Research).
During the visit, Prof. Xu oriented the guests the latest developments, research achievements and core facilities of FHS. Then he guided the guests to the Animal Research Core. Prof. Xu mentioned that FHS’s biomedical research is dedicated to ensuring cancer precision medicine, stem cell and tissue regeneration, bioinformatics and medical big data, aging and related diseases, neuropsychiatry, brain sciences, and biological imaging, etc. In recent years, FHS’s research in the field of health sciences has been fruitful, and the number and quality of publications in internationally renowned journals are enhancing on an annual basis.
Prof. Xu also introduced the guests with various accomplishments of knowledge transfer of FHS. He also mentioned that FHS puts significant effort into strengthening the integration of industry, education and research for promoting and transferring the valuable research findings. The guests expressed their interests in developing close academia-industry collaboration. Both parties looked forward to work out the official collaboration in the near future.
Other academic attending the meeting included Associate Professor Terence Chuen Wai POON and Senior Instructor Li WANG. Mr. Zheyu CAI, the Operation Manager of Animal Research Core, also accompanied the delegation during the lab tour.
