Request for High Course Load

General Rules related to Credit and Course Load

According to the Item E of General Rules Governing Bachelor’s Degree Programmes,

  • In addition to the Community and Peer Education courses, a student is normally allowed to take a maximum of 21 credit units in a semester.
  • A student may take up to 24 credits in a semester if he/she achieves a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.  Student who wishes to increase the course load should submit a written application with strong justification to his/her home academic unit.  Endorsement from the Head of Department and approval from the Dean must be sought.

Application Procedures

  1. Complete the Request for High Course Load e-form.
  2. Please ensure the completeness of your e-form and submit your request.
  3. Your application will be reviewed by the delegate of FHS.
  4. Your will receive a notify email regarding the delegate’s decision of your application.
