FHSSA recently organised the tenth iteration of the ‘Health, I Care!’ health knowledge quiz competition. The competition focused on the systematic consolidation and in-depth integration of knowledge within the field of health sciences. Using the competition as a platform, participants were encouraged to build a comprehensive understanding of health sciences, put into practice the principle of integrating knowledge with action, and enhance their awareness of healthy living.
Following the preliminary rounds, four teams advanced to the final. Participants included students from various faculties, such as FHS, the Faculty of Education (FED), and the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA). After several rounds of intense competition, teams demonstrated strong collaboration, composure under pressure, and accuracy in answering questions. The team ‘So Love Will Disappear, Right?’ emerged as the champion, while ‘Game Lobby Random Match Team’ and ‘Empty-Handed Gain Team’ secured second and third place respectively. In addition to the competing teams, an interactive quiz session was held for the audience, where students actively participated, creating a lively atmosphere filled with applause and laughter.
FHS sophomore student and audience member Jianing WANG remarked that the questions were engaging and appreciated the inclusion of an interactive quiz that allowed spectators to participate actively. Another sophomore FHS student, Binbin XU, shared that this was her second time taking part in the competition. She noted that while she had previously cheered for participants from the audience, she was pleased to compete on stage this year. Despite feeling nervous during the contest, she found each question intellectually rewarding and gained a deeper appreciation of the value of knowledge.
‘Health, I Care!’ not only stimulated students’ interest in exploring health-related knowledge but also fostered a strong academic atmosphere on campus. Through this initiative, participants gained a deeper understanding of practical health knowledge, thereby enhancing their overall health literacy. FHSSA remains committed to promoting health education and will continue to organise activities that combine academic depth, social responsibility, and community engagement.
